Alexander J. Busch,
Dr. Alexander Busch is a clinical psychologist and an instructor who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, PTSD, mood disorders, sleep disorders, and relationship dysfunction. He provides client-centered and empirically supported care to patients in the Sleep and Anxiety Treatment and Research Program (SATRP) within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Busch received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Texas A&M University and completed his internship at the Charleston Consortium Psychology Internship Program. He has worked with and welcomes clients of varying ages, races, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, religious preferences, political tendencies, sexual orientations, gender, and countries of origin. Therapeutic interventions in his approach are tailored to the client’s individual needs, constellation of presenting symptoms, personality, intelligence, and treatment preferences. He is thoroughly dedicated to caring for his clients, helping them develop more balanced and hopeful perspectives, and empowering them to overcome adversity and maximize their potential.
