Molly Valerio received her BA in dance-movement therapy (an expressive arts therapy) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where she then continued to acquire a MA in the same field with a concentration in geriatrics at Goucher College, Towson, Maryland. Several years later, she moved her practice to clinical social work receiving her MSW from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. A clinical social work fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven, Connecticut initiated her attention to the young child and adolescent population combined with a parent therapy, couple therapy, and family therapy focus never leaving behind her interest in the elderly. In addition to her academic background, Ms. Valerio has been trained for the inter-related fields of substance abuse, divorce and custody family mediation, and EMDR — a trauma based therapeutic technique, ministerial training and just recently, the heart-math certification. She is a board certified diplomat in social work and an employee assistance specialist-clinical.
