Start Your Own Herb Garden

Various herbs in pots

Are you trying to lower your salt intake, but your food doesn't taste the same? Use fresh herbs to season your food. A little sprinkle of fresh herbs on your food such as basil, rosemary, thyme, and mint can make your food taste just as good even without the salt!

Herbs are full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to your health. Starting your own herb garden means that you have access to free and organic additives to throw into salads, steep in hot water for tea or help flavor a cooked dish. Your herb garden does not have to take up a ton of room. You can grow your herbs in small pots in a sunny area and water regularly.
