More than 250 scientists at Hollings Cancer Center are working to better understand cancer and develop new ways to prevent, detect, and treat it. As part of South Carolina’s only comprehensive academic health system, discoveries can move from research into clinical trials and patient care. The new cancer hospital will expand access to clinical trials and specialized cancer care. As clinical operations move into the new facility, additional space in Hollings will be converted into research labs, strengthening our ability to bring promising treatments to patients across South Carolina.
