Lancaster Medical Center Visiting Hours & Policies

The Lancaster Medical Center welcome patients’ friends and family to our facility, and believe that having loved ones nearby lifts spirits, brightens moods and improves healing. However, for everyone’s safety, please respect our visitation policies when coming by to say hello.

Visiting Hours

Pandemic Restricted Visitation

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Any patient who has been in the facility less than 14 days, is allowed (two) 2 designated visitors. They must be the same two consistent visitors the entire patient stay.

If a patient has been in the hospital greater than 14 days, the patient may have up to (four) 4 designated visitors; but only (two) 2 at a time at the beside. All 4 must be the same designated visitors through out the stay.

Patients on the COVID unit are not allowed any visitors, unless this is a special end of life visit. This visit must be coordinated with nursing supervision. You may call the hospital at 803-286-1214 and ask to speak with the nursing supervisor. They will assist you. Iif a patient on the COVID unit has been hospitalized 14 days or longer, other visitation options may apply. Please speak to the primary nurse or nursing supervisor.

Patients on our 7th floor Rehabilitation Unit may have up to 4 designated visitors for their stay. These visitors must also be the same 4 designated visitors. Visits should be utilized for patient/caregiver training and education for patient care and should be only 2 visitors at the same time.

General Visiting Hours

  • 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
 

Critical Care (ICU &CCU)

  • Critical Care visitation is NOT allowed from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
