The Health and Wellness Coaching Program offers modern, expert-driven collaborations between patients and MUSC board-certified health coaches trained in the specific behavioral change techniques necessary to facilitate long-term lifestyle changes directly linked to improved patient outcomes. We go beyond acute care to treat the whole person and address multiple dimensions of health, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, sleep quality, balance and more, all of which play a powerful role in your overall health and well-being. The Program includes one-to-one coaching sessions that empower patients to make the healthy lifestyle choices today that lead to peak health and vitality.

Kaitlin DaPore brings nearly a decade of leadership experience within the Wellness Community to the Medical University of South Carolina, as one of the state's only Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coaches as recognized through the National Board of Medical Examiners and the National Board of Health and Wellness coaches.

Services Offered

Complimentary Consultation

This 20-minute virtual introductory session will enable the client to speak with a health coach to learn more about the coaching relationship, establish a timeline, set expectations, answer questions, and more.

Single Accountability Session

A highly-focused and personalized 60-minute one-on-one coaching session that can be both done virtually or in-person. In a coaching session, we dive deep into the collaborative coaching process by exploring the client's well-being vision, time line, and personal preferences while identifying specific action steps and strategies to achieve a particular well-being goal. Session will include follow up via email with session notes, support via text message and relevant supporting resources. This program is designed for the person needing a jump start to their health and wellness goals.

Accountability Session Package

The series is founded on an evidence-based approach to lifestyle transformation and is designed to enable the client to set meaningful goals, identify barriers, and create lasting and significant lifestyle changes while having a support system in place throughout the process. The program includes four 45-minute coaching sessions and includes a health history, diet, and lifestyle review, as well as emails and texts with session notes, support, and resources. This program is designed for someone wanting long-term accountability and support to meet their health and wellness goals.
