The MUSC Health Mindfulness Center is designed to foster growth and resilience through evidence-based coping strategies that can improve your quality of life and overall well-being. Learning to manage life stressors like medical, job, or family problems through our resilience and mindfulness programming can help prevent the development of long-term health complications, improve sleep, relieve stress, reduce anxiety, regulate emotion and enhance your ability to manage future adversity. Research shows mindfulness can also reduce chronic pain, lower blood pressure, and improve immune functioning, making the tools available at the clinic more immediately necessary to help you be your best self.

4-Week Introduction to Mindfulness

Our MUSC Health & Wellness Institute offers a limited four-week group series of mindfulness sessions to support individuals who are suffering with, chronic pain, stress and burnout related, or cancer-related pain and depression. Learn techniques to help improve your everyday quality of life. Virtual and in-person sessions available. The cost of each four-week series is $90. Introduction to Mindfulness for Stress & Burnout Series

Improve your ability to regulate emotions and manage depression and anxiety related to stress and burnout; meets weekly on Mondays at noon (virtual and in-person sessions available)

Introduction to Mindfulness for Chronic Pain Series

Gain a deeper understanding of how to use mindfulness to manage pain and increase your quality of life; meets weekly on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. (virtual and in-person sessions available)

Introduction to Mindfulness for Cancer Series

Learn how to utilize mindfulness techniques to manage adverse effects of cancer treatment and common experiences related to cancer diagnosis; meets weekly on Wednesdays at noon (virtual and in-person sessions available) 

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Series

Our MUSC Health & Wellness Institute offers a limited eight-week group series for MBSR. The course is aimed to help you foster increased self-awareness to improve wellbeing, relieve stress, and promote resiliency. MBSR has been shown in research trials to help individuals regulate difficult emotions, improve sleep, and reduce mood problems. This series is perfect for someone interested in learning ways to assist with anxiety and depression, chronic pain, and short- or long-term stressors. The cost of each eight-week series is $480.
