Sara Van Nortwick, MD

Dr. Sara Van Nortwick is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with expertise in the treatment of disorders of the spine and extremities. She completed a prestigious pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship at Stanford Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, California and is actively involved in numerous research projects to advance the field of pediatric orthopedics. Scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and fracture care are of special interest to Dr Van Nortwick. The treatment of patients with neuromuscular and congenital differences is especially enjoyable for her secondary to the lifelong relationships that can develop. A relative of Dr Van Nortwick has cerebral palsy and was the impetus for her pursuit of orthopedic surgery. As a former division 1 collegiate athlete, Dr Van Nortwick identifies with the athletic aspirations of her patients. She loves being a mom and counts it a great privilege to be part of your family’s life.
