We view each collaboration with an affiliate as an opportunity to find new ways of providing health care. Collaboration with our clinical affiliates includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Integrating clinical programs, i.e., Regional Service Lines, when appropriate, joint physician, and clinical support recruiting
  • Sharing the latest clinical protocols
  • Sharing practice management best practices and resource support
  • Shared IT capabilities
  • Telehealth: both direct patient clinical connections, i.e., consultations, and tumor board participation; as well as access to CME and other CE offerings
  • Quality metric initiatives

Tidelands Health

The MUSC Health and Tidelands Health affiliation is a well-established relationship originally created in 2010.

Together, we created the Tidelands Health MUSC Family Medicine Residency Program and are growing our regional services lines in oncology, neurosciences, and cardiovascular care. Our goal is to facilitate communication and collaboration between Tidelands-affiliated physicians and MUSC Physicians to enhance patient-centered care for the residents of Georgetown and Horry counties.

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center

A leader in providing quality health care services to the people of several counties in northeastern South Carolina, patients have come to rely on our experienced, skilled staff and physicians to provide them with the highest level of care and compassion. Through the facilities on their campus, including a 116-bed acute care hospital and an adjoining medical office building, Carolina Pines provides comprehensive services with two things in mind: the care and comfort of patients.

To expand services even further, Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center is proud to collaborate with MUSC Health. This network enables healthcare providers to work together to achieve quality care in a more efficient manner than can be achieved independently. The ongoing collaboration is the result of significant dialogue on how to best respond to health reform while addressing the needs of local communities.

From routine check-ups to complex, state-of-the-art surgery, Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center strives to be the area’s health care provider of choice. It is their vision to be valued for their leadership, expertise and the ability to positively impact the quality of life for the citizens in their service area, which includes Darlington, Chesterfield, Lee and Marlboro Counties.

Founded by local citizens in 1913 as the Camden Hospital, KershawHealth has always had close ties to the community it serves.
