I enjoy dancing, theater, civic engagement, family bonding, traveling, and mentoring other young persons. A fun fact about myself is that I was in the Russian Nutcracker for 2 years!

Why MUSC

MUSC not only provided the 2-year administrative residency that I wanted but intrigued me because of how well my interests aligned with their program. Through MUSC acquiring small regional hospitals, they are actively bringing higher levels of care to rural areas, which spoke to my childhood upbringing and my passion for healthcare. I also appreciated the comradery amongst the residents as well as the feeling of being part of a team, not just a single pharmacist.

I enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. A fun fact about myself is that during my first year of residency, I responded to a trauma where my father was the helicopter pilot that flew the patient in!

Why MUSC

The Medical University of South Carolina offered many experiences I was looking for including high-level leadership within an academic medical center and the ability to contribute to the advancement of the pharmacy profession. MUSC pharmacy staff is committed to both continuous quality improvement and improving patients’ health and healthcare delivery. I knew by choosing MUSC, I would be learning from dedicated pharmacy leaders that would prepare me for the changing landscape of healthcare.

I enjoy breweries, anything on the water, the Chelsea Football Club, and the South Carolina Gamecocks. A fun fact about myself is that I was on Nickelodeon's Slime Time Live!

Why MUSC

While searching for a residency program, I focused on programs that emphasized clinical growth; particularly programs that offered a robust on-call experience. Through the clinical opportunities provided during first year rotations, I developed a better understanding of the medication use process. It was also crucial that I have the opportunity to participate in exploratory projects. From my work with our Pharmacy Operations Committee and our Adult On-call Committee, I've watched as MUSC Health continuously emphasizes pharmacy's expanded role in direct patient care.
