Outside of Pharmacy

I enjoy exploring new places, outdoor activities (skydiving, scuba diving, horseback riding, etc.), and reading. A fun fact about myself is that I have visited more than 25 countries and 23 states in the United States!

Why MUSC

I chose to pursue my PGY2 Oncology Residency at MUSC because of the variety of opportunities the program offers. MUSC promotes pharmacists to be involved in teaching, research, protocol/guideline development, and leadership. This innovative environment presents the opportunity for challenge and growth that I believe will allow me to achieve my personal and professional goals. Moreover, I plan to go back to my home country, Saudi Arabia, and this .program will allow me to bring back all what I learned and be a leader in developing oncology pharmacy services back home.

Outside of Pharmacy

I enjoy going to the beach, exploring new restaurants and breweries, playing beach volleyball with my awesome co-residents, and eating Tollhouse Pie. A fun fact about myself is that Norman Marini, my pet pot-bellied pig, has a larger social media following than I ever will!

Why MUSC

I was initially drawn to MUSC due to the wide variety of clinical opportunities designed to develop a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. I chose MUSC to further my post-graduate training in oncology because I was fortunate enough to see first-hand the dedication to resident development during my PGY1. With MUSC being a large academic medical center and NCI designated cancer center, I knew that I would be able to continue to train at a high level with an extremely dedicated support system of preceptors.
