Course Policies and Information

MUSC Health Interpreter Training Center is dedicated to providing you an online educational experience at the same level of quality as our in person educational programs. Our aim is to make our online classroom user-friendly, accessible, interactive, and collaborative. Prior to taking one of our online courses we ask that you review our Online Course Policy.

The best learning environment––whether in the classroom or online––is one in which all members feel respected while being productively challenged. MUSC Health Interpreter Training Center is dedicated to fostering an inclusive atmosphere, in which all participants can contribute, explore, and challenge their own ideas as well as those of others. Every participant has an active responsibility to foster a climate of intellectual stimulation, openness, and respect for diverse perspectives, questions, personal backgrounds, abilities, and experiences, although instructors bear primary responsibility for its maintenance. We encourage students to speak directly with the instructor about any concerns they perceive contributing to a learning environment lacking inclusivity, as defined in the preceding policy.

MUSC Health Interpreter Training Center provides training that fosters an environment of mutual respect and inclusion that is free from harassment, bias, and discrimination based on race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, genetic information, or other protected classes under the law.

MUSC Health Interpreter Training Center has been approved by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI), and International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA), as an administrator for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). CEUs will be offered for all training provided, sponsored, or co-sponsored by MUSC Health.
