Description Children with sickle cell disease are at increased risk for neurodevelopmental problems and early detection of these problems may be improved through the use of routine developmental screening.
Objectives

1.     Explain the significance of developmental problems in pediatric sickle cell disease

2.     Describe the current American Academy of Pediatrics developmental screening guidelines

 

3.     Describe how developmental screening can be used to improve early detection of developmental concerns in pediatric sickle cell disease
