Description
We have known about the hole in the heart for >2000 years, but only last year was technology FDA approved to close the hole and prevent recurrent stroke.
Objectives
1.Discuss the prevalence of patent foramen ovale in the general population.
2.Discuss the prevalence of patent foramen ovale in patients <55 with a cryptogenic stroke
3.Discuss the transcatheter device patent foramen ovale closure plus aspirin therapy
