Description The topic is "Don't Just Stand There, POCUS!"
Objectives 1. Discuss indications for Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) and differentiate from consultative ultrasound.
2. Discuss POCUS in the evaluation of acute respiratory failure and common pleural diseases in the critically ill.
3. Discuss POCUS in the evaluation of shock and volume assessment management.
4. Discuss future directions - Is it time for the frontline critical care intensivist to carry the skillset of transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)?
