Objectives Assess current limitations on rights of children and families regarding medical decision making; Identify potential changes to the medico-legal landscape regarding declaration of death in the US and possible consequences; Distinguish between Palliative Care and Hospice and recognize their roles in support of medical decision making; Propose strategies to navigate difficult decision making during serious illness
