Description This video is part of the Neonatal Pharmacology Conference.
Objectives Recall the common etiologies and underlying biomolecular mechanism of neonatal seizures to help guide evaluation and targeted therapies.
Compare the eIicacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of anti-seizure medications commonly used in the neonatal period.
Review acute and maintenance dosing of anti-seizure therapy commonly used in the neonatal period.
Discuss the utility of laboratory monitoring of serum levels of anti-seizure medications and the optimal timing of such tests.
Describe the less common presentations of neonatal seizures and advanced treatment modalities of such cases.
