Biography
Dr. Nadig is a physician trained in pulmonary and critical care medicine. She has also obtained a Masters in Clinical Research. Her clinical interests include taking care of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) with sepsis and acute respiratory failure requiring advanced therapies like extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
Dr. Nadig's current research interest is in the area of transitions of care between hospitals and inter-ICU transfer of high-risk patients to tertiary-level centers. Specifically, she is studying the clinical and economic implications of patient transfers, as well as the psychological implications on families due to transfer. She is a principal investigator on several foundation grants to study the above noted concepts.
