Dr. Ziad Georges Skaff is a board-certified hematologist and oncologist at the MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. He cares for and treats a variety of cancers including breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer and many other types of cancer.
He earned his medical degree at the Université Saint Joseph Faculté de Medecine in Beirut Lebanon. He went on to complete an internal medicine residency and hematology and oncology fellowships at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine part of Rutgers University in New Jersey.
In 2010, Dr. Skaff founded the department of oncology at Carolinas Hospital in Florence South Carolina.
In 2015 he founded the cancer relief fund, a charitable organization supporting non-funded cancer patients.
In 2016, he pioneered the affiliation with the Mayo Clinic bringing advanced care and clinical trials to the Pee Dee area.
In 2016 Dr. Skaff was named assistant professor at the University of South Carolina where he provided clinical training for the Medical residents at the Florence campus.
In 2019 Dr. Skaff received “ The Best Of the Pee Dee” Award for Oncology.
