Description This video is part of the 2026 Evidence Based Drug Therapy Update Conference.
Objectives Define osteopenia and osteoporosis. Identify modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors associated with osteoporosis.
Recognize the long-term health impacts of osteoporotic fractures.
Illustrate who should be considered for treatment using various diagnostic and screening tools.
Distinguish between the different medications available to treat osteoporosis and their side effect profiles.
Recognize care gaps in osteoporosis treatment.
