Do I have to use ERAS to apply?

Yes, we only accept applications through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).

Do I have to participate in the NRMP?

Yes, All of our positions are offered through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).

Do you have a deadline for application to be submitted?

No, we review all applications received while we have remaining spots for interviews.

Do you sponsor H-1b visas?

No, we are unable to sponsor H-1b visas at this time.

Do you accept J1 Visas?

Yes, we will accept candidates with J1 visas. For more information, please visit the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates website.

Can I apply if I have not taken USMLE Step 2 or COMLEX Level 2?

Yes, we do accept applications, but you must provide documentation of your successful completion of USMLE Step 2 or COMLEX Level 2 by the NRMP’s Rank Order List Certification Deadline.

Can I apply if I am not yet ECFMG certified?

Yes, you may apply but must be ECFMG Certified in order to start residency.

Do you offer observerships or externships?

No, we are unable to offer and observerships or externships.

Do you offer any retention programs for graduates?

Yes, the State of South Carolina has extensive programs to try and recruit and retain primary care providers.

Do you require prior US clinical Experience?

No.
