Professional Development & Education

The Nursing Professional Development Department provides education and training for licensed and unlicensed clinical staff working in all hospitals of the Medical Center including the University Hospital, Ashley River Tower, the Institute of Psychiatry, the Children's Hospital, and ambulatory care areas under the management of MUHA. In addition, services are provided to other departments within the hospital on a request basis.

The mission of the MUHA Nursing Professional Development Department is to support and promote life-long learning for nursing staff in an environment that fosters quality based outcomes achieved through evidence-based practice.
