University Medical Center
MUSC Health University Medical Center is located in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina. University Medical Center is dedicated to changing what's possible in health care through its patient- and family-centered care, education, research, and various partnerships.University Medical Center is a nationally recognized and leading health sciences university. It is comprised of four hospitals (Institute of Psychiatry, Children's Hospital, Ashley River Tower, and University Hospital) and an NCI-designated cancer center, MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. University Medical Center is also home to South Carolina's only solid organ transplant center, the Level I Trauma Center, as well as one of only two National Telehealth Centers of Excellence.
Although the University Medical Center in Charleston is the hub for our clinical services, MUSC Health provides patient care throughout the state of South Carolina. We have satellite offices to serve patients in their communities from Bluffton to Myrtle Beach and from Mount Pleasant to Greenville.

Free Guest Internet Access
MUSC provides free wireless internet access for patients and visitors at the Medical Center campus in downtown Charleston. This service is provided on an as-is basis, and is supported on all wireless devices with standards-based web browsers. This includes Windows laptops, Macs, Linux and iPhones.
To connect to the network:
- Open your wireless network utility and join the muscguest network.
- Once you connect, open your browser.You will be presented with MUSC’s Terms of Use.
- Click Accept, and OK.The MUSC Guest Wireless Network page will display.
- You are now connected to the internet.

Located on the 1st floor of main hospital near the cafeteria.
SC Federal Credit Union
Located on 1st floor of the main hospital across from the gift shop of entrance on the right as you walk in the main entrance.
Located on the 1st floor near the Cafe in the Ashley River Tower (ART).
Smoking Policy
Effective March 1, 2012, MUSC was designated a tobacco-free campus. Smoking is not permitted in any areas on campus. This includes the use of chewing tobacco and e-cigarettes. As South Carolina’s academic health center and home to the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer institute in the state, it is a part of our mission to prevent cancer and to lead by example in providing the healthiest environment possible for everyone on our campus.
