Adult Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers work in different departments at MUSC Health Florence. We will try to match you according to your skills and requests. Once the application is submitted, Volunteer Services will closely work with you based on your schedule and interests. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for the application process. We ask volunteers to make a commitment of at least four hours same time each week.

Application and Requirements

To be considered for our Adult Volunteer Program, applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Complete and submit an application.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation on a business letterhead.
  • Schedule a personal interview with Volunteer Services.
  • Complete Employee Health requirements, including PPD skin test prior to service, Covid Vaccine, and background check.
  • Complete a mandatory hospital orientation that includes: confidentiality statement, HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Comply with hospital and departmental policies, rules, and code of ethics.
  • Wear approved uniform and picture ID when on duty.
