What is School-Based Pediatric Telehealth?

Children an be examined, diagnosed, and treated by a trusted health care provider while at school using the latest telehealth technology.

What conditions can be treated?

  • Acne
  • Asthma
  • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Congestion/sore throat
  • Flu/Covid symptoms
  • Head lice
  • Pink eye
  • Rashes
  • Upset stomach
  • Urinary track infection (UTI)

How does it work?

After you enroll for the program, you can schedule an appointment through the school nurse. Students are evaluated in the school nurse's office. Virtual visits from home are also available.

Enroll in the Program

To enroll for the school-based telehealth program, enter your first and last name and email address to begin the signing process. If you don't have an email address, please use schoolbased@sctelehealth.org.

How do I pay for appointments?

Medicaid covers visits. Private insurance coverage varies, copays and deductibles apply.

The School-based Pediatric Telehealth program is available in the following districts, as well as several SC charter schools:

  • Calhoun
  • Charleston
  • Colleton
  • Darlington
  • Edgefield
  • Fairfield
  • Kershaw
  • Orangeburg
  • Sumter
  • Williamsburg
