What is the MUSC Health Administrative Fellowship?

The MUSC Health Administrative Fellowship program is a self-directed program under the supervision of health system leaders and is designed for highly qualified individuals who demonstrate the potential to make significant contributions to the health care administration profession and the organization. Fellows will have the opportunity to attend and participate in meetings, shadowing, and project work. Fellows are encouraged to participate in operational projects that align with their particular interests. The Fellow receives firsthand experience in multiple areas including but not limited to: operations, finance, quality, and strategic planning.

Who is eligible to be an MUSC Health Fellow?

Applicants must have or will have graduated from a CAHME accredited MHA, MPH, or equivalently accredited MBA program by the start of the fellowship (July 2022). This individual must be a self-starter and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

How long is the Fellowship appointment?

The fellowship program begins in the summer of each year and continues for twelve months, depending on individual circumstance.

Do I get paid?

The MUSC Health Administrative Fellow receives an annual stipend that is competitive with other administrative fellowships at other state institutions. In addition, the fellow receives a benefit package that is comparable to other MUSC Health employees.

When do I apply?

Applications must be submitted via NAFCAS by October 1, 2021. Early submissions are welcome and appreciated.
