Insurance & Payments

Dental Insurance

The College of Dental Medicine is in network with BlueCross/BlueShield of South Carolina Dental Network. Other plans accepted are Delta Dental of Missouri, United Concordia (military dependents only) and GEHA (Tricare retirees). For all other insurance, the patient is responsible for payment and reaching out to their insurer for potential reimbursement.

Medicaid

Medicaid is accepted in the Urgent Care Clinic, in the Pamela Kaminsky Clinic for Adolescents and Adults with Special Health Care Needs, for some gum treatments for patients who are under 21, for children's dental care (pediatric dentistry and root canals), and for some orthodontics services. Medicaid coverage for services varies by plan type and all services listed may not be covered.

Payments

All patient services carry a fee and the patient is expected to pay for the service as treatment is rendered. Payment is required in full at the beginning of any major treatments such as crowns, bridges, partial dentures, complete dentures or implants. Payment can be made by cash, check, VISA, Master Card, Discover or American Express. We also accept Care Credit which offers interest-free payment plans to qualified applicants. To pay online, please create or log into your MyChart patient portal.
