For Charleston patients
How do virtual visits work?
At the time of your appointment, you will use MUSC's virtual visit platform to see your provider using the camera on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Instructions will be provided. There is no need to set up an account, and all the data is encrypted. If you already have a virtual visit scheduled and are looking for instructions on how to get started, this document (PDF) will help you connect.
Although all appointments are currently being scheduled as video visits, a determination will be made by your provider if you need to be seen in the office, or if your visit can be handled in another manner.
If you are unable to access the internet, your provider will schedule a check-in phone call visit.
COVID-19 Screening Visits and Online Urgent Care
If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms and are concerned you might have coronavirus (COVID-19), use this method to undergo screening by an MUSC Health provider. The provider will determine whether you meet the criteria to be tested for COVID-19 at our drive-thru site. These visits are free with promo code COVID19.
Online Urgent Care
If you have an urgent medical need, use our virtual care platform. This option is for non-emergency visits, such as ear infection or urinary tract infection.
