Administrative Fellowship Application Process

The MUSC Health Administrative Fellowship program seeks diverse, motivated, and highly qualified individuals that identify as self-starters with strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate strong emotional intelligence desiring to develop personally and professionally.

As a member of the National Council on Administrative Fellowships (NCAF) of the National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL), MUSC Health adheres to the NCAF application timeline and process. In an effort to simplify the application process for fellowship applicants, NCAF uses the National Administrative Fellowship Centralized Application Service (NAFCAS). All applications to the Administrative Fellowship program with MUSC Health must be submitted via the NAFCAS system.

Applicant Requirements

  • Capable of communicating effectively with both frontline care team members, as well as senior executives
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess a strong interest in hospital operations in academic medicine
  • Must have completed the didactic degree requirements from accredited masters-level or higher programs

Application Timeline

Applications Open Second Thursday of June
Application Deadline Rolling; early submission is encouraged by September 1
Virtual Interviews September 2025
On-site Interviews Mid-October 2025
Acceptance Date October 2025
Fellowship Start Date June 2026

A complete application must consist of the following information and be submitted through the NAFCAS system. Applications will not be considered past the deadline.

  • Resume (max of 3 pages)
  • Graduate School Transcript (official)
  • Cover Letter (max of 1 page)
  • Personal Statement (max of 1 page)
  • Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
