James Metcalf, MS, ATC

James was born and raised in Tupelo, Mississippi where he played high school football, basketball, powerlifted and ran track. He then went on to the University of West Alabama where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training. He then went on to Alabama A&M where he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer and received his Master’s of Science degree in Kinesiology. Following graduate school, James moved to Birmingham to work for Drayer Physical Therapy as an outreach athletic trainer at Miles College as well as Clay Chalkville High School and Chelsea High School. In the spring of 2017 James and his wife Adrienne moved to Charleston so his wife could complete her residency at MUSC; since the fall of 2017 James has been the athletic trainer at Goose Creek High School.
