How to Prepare for Your Surgery at The Dialysis Access Institute

We are here to help you before, during, and after your appointment. As you prepare to work with our team, you should know a few things.

  • If having Access Surgery, do not eat or drink anything for 8 hours before your procedure.
  • Please arrive 2 hours before your scheduled surgery time.
  • Arrange for a responsible adult to accompany you and drive you home after the procedure.
  • Please bring all medications with you to surgery and write down the day and time of your last dialysis session.
