Specialty medications often need approval from the insurance company before they can be filled. Your insurance will likely want your doctor to “authorize” your medication before we can fill it for you. Our pharmacy team will take care of this process for you and keep you updated on your prescription’s status.

MUSC now offers an injection clinic, where pharmacists provide additional counseling on your medication and can teach you how to give yourself the injection. Please ask our pharmacists if you would like to be seen in the injection clinic.
