Meet James

Hi, my name is James. At age 16, I had Gastric Sleeve surgery. I struggled with my weight and knew something had to change in order for me to have a healthier life. After talking with my family and primary care doctor, the decision was made to proceed with Gastric Sleeve surgery before any long-term health issues developed. We learned after the surgery that I had SVT (Supraventricular Tachycardia), which hindered any attempt to workout pre-surgery. Since then, I had the heart issue corrected via surgery and am now living my best life at age 19. I have lost a total of 273 lbs at this point.

 

My journey has not been a smooth road but I’m very pleased with my decision to seek help from Dr. Lesher and his team. Once I recovered from the surgeries, I really focused on my calorie intake and got a gym membership. Now, I have started college, work out daily, hang out with friends and am enjoying my new life.
