Quinoa Banana Bread Bars

Here is a quick and easy banana bread bar recipe that is sure to please your sweet tooth and keep you satisfied. Quinoa may be a grain, but it is also high in protein, making it a great addition to bread. Feel free to customize this recipe by using nuts, coconut, raisins, or any other add-ins you enjoy!

Servings: 6 servings


  • 1 cup quinoa (uncooked)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Handful chocolate chips or carob chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 and 1/3 cup mashed banana
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 2 tablespoons nut butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Optional add-ins: walnuts, shredded coconut, raisins


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
  2. Grease an eight-inch bread pan
  3. Stir together all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl, then add remaining wet ingredients and stir to combine
  4. Pour into greased pan
  5. Bake for 28 minutes, then turn off oven but keep the oven door closed and bake for an additional 25 minutes
