Eat This, Not That: Panda Express

Black Pepper Angus Steak from Panda Express.

While everyone loves to eat out, fast food tends to be higher in calories, saturated fat and carbohydrates. Nowadays, a lot of restaurants like Panda Express, have great options for lower calorie meals. Just look for their "Wok Smart" logo on the menu to identify a dish with at least 8g of protein and less than 300 calories per serving. This will help ensure you are choosing leaner proteins and avoiding added fats/calories as much as one can when eating out. One example of this is to choose the "Black Pepper Angus Steak" rather than the "Beijing Beef". As you can see below, the "Black Pepper Angus Steak," which is part of the "Wok Smart" system, offers more protein for less total calories, as well as less saturated fat and carbohydrates. This means you will be more satisfied and stay full for a longer period of time, without having to consume as many calories. So, next time you find your self stopping for a quick meal, you can eat this, not that!
