The MUSC Health & Wellness Institute Mindfulness Center is designed to foster growth and resilience through evidence-based strategies. Maintaining mental well-being is often overlooked but is just as important as physical health. Learning to manage life stressors can help prevent the development of long-term health complications, improve sleep, relieve stress, reduce anxiety, regulate emotion, and enhance your ability to manage future adversity. Research shows mindfulness can reduce chronic pain, lower blood pressure, and improve immune function. We tailor our services to fit your unique needs, so you can prioritize and strengthen your inner health to enhance your quality of life and overall well-being. The Mindfulness Center offers individual and group sessions to fit your needs.

Meet one-on-one for a 15-minute session with a mental health and wellness expert to identify your goals and recommended classes or series that suit your individual needs. 

Initial Consult with a Mental Wellness Expert

Meet one-on-one for a structured 60-minute assessment with an inner health and wellness expert to identify what brings your life meaning and purpose, and to plan a course of intentional actions that guide you towards a more fulfilled and satisfying life. Develop a tailored wellness care plan to suit your individual needs. After your initial mental wellness consult, follow up sessions are focused on helping you accomplish your goals. Four-Week Introduction to Mindfulness for Stress & Burnout

This introductory four-week mindfulness series will foster your understanding of the principles of mindfulness and ways it can help manage stress and burnout. Mindfulness is effective in improving stress, burnout, and the ability to regulate emotions. Interactive sessions will include an overview of mindfulness techniques, as well as experimental practice. You will conclude the sessions with a deeper understanding of mindfulness.
