The Liver and Pancreas Surgery Program at MUSC provides state-of-the-art treatment for patients with primary and metastatic cancers of the liver, gallbladder, bile duct and pancreas. The program also treats benign diseases including acute and chronic pancreatitis, liver and pancreas cysts, biliary strictures and bile duct injuries.
Patients receive comprehensive care from a team comprised of pancreas, hepatobiliary, and transplant surgeons, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, diagnostic radiologists, interventional radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and anesthesiologists. Our Multidisciplinary Pancreas and Liver Tumor Board and our Advanced Interventional Endoscopic and Surgical Gastroenterology Conference meet weekly to provide the highest level of collaborative and patient-centered care.
Coordinated Outpatient, Inpatient, and Transplant Care.
As part of MUSC Digestive Health, we maintain separate outpatient clinics for liver patients, a separate inpatient service, and a multidisciplinary team to evaluate patients for transplantation.
